Since our son is named Craig, we had to visit this fort north of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. The soldiers from this fort fought and won a nearby battle against Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. The flagpole was interesting and was the first thing you saw when you arrived. There is not much left of the Fort because most of the structures were made of adobe and have since disappeared.
