Steamtown National Historical Site, Scranton, Pennsylvania

Visited Steamtown National Historical Site, in Scranton, PA.  Home of a restored, working roundhouse. It was pretty cool to see all the trains and the turntable that they used to move them around.  They even have a workshop where you can observe while they restore and maintain old engines and train cars.  A must-see stop for any train enthusiast.

Turntable, used to place each engine or car into the selected work bay.

U.S. Mail car, the workers in this car would collect the mail and sort it as they continued down the track.

Engine in the work area.
