Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota is an interesting park because it is over 40% water. There are several visitors centers scattered near 3 different towns in the area. The best way to see Voyageurs NP is by boat. We decided not to take a boat trip since we haven't been having very good luck with boat trips, both of them we took so far were rainy. Instead, we did some hiking and stopped at each visitors center where we could go out onto the docks and enjoy the water that way. Voyageurs NP is quite remote and is in fact the 6th least visited national park. We found it to offer some beautiful scenery and some peace and quite sitting along the water's edge.
